Make Cut Flowers Last Longer

How much longer? Our tests have made an ordinary bouquets of grocery store flowers last an average of 20.3 days — but some last 24 days or more!

Why the difference in how long flowers last? Because most flowers travel great distances to get to a retail store. And there is no telling how long they have been at the store or how they have been treated. Directions: 

1. Pour fresh water into a clean vase, making sure not to overfill. The stems of the flowers only need about 2-3 inches of water.
2. Add 2 teaspoon of powder per cup of vase water (or 2.5 tablespoons per quart).
3. Cut 1/2 inch from the stem of each flower and place them in the treated vase water.
4. Place the flowers in a cool area away from direct sunlight and drafts.
5. Change the treated water every 2-3 days, using filtered water for best results or tap water if necessary.
6. Enjoy better looking flowers for longer!
